Company Pál Frenák

Bamboo forest as a labyrinth. Isolation. Survival.

Pál Frenák’s new choreography looks beyond the laws of physics, into the dimensions of the soul. It is inspired by his own experiences in Japan as the winner of the Villa Kujoyama choreography prize and by Alain Resnais’ cult movie Hiroshima, Mon Amour. Similarly to the film, Frenák examines social and global problems through human relations. Are we treating our world in a responsible way? Is there hope? Is mankind devouring itself again and again?
